Richard’s comments.

Just a simple exercise to practice vocabulary and yet the students always love it. Keeps you fit too…

Group size:

This one should work for classes of any size.
This one is for younger preschool students.

Team teaching game?

This game can be played with one teacher.

Materials

Focus cards.

Game set up.

Small classes can sit in a half circle around the teacher.

Large classes can be divided into teams and two teams can play at a time.

Playing rules.

Go through the vocabulary cards before going to the carpet.

Read and repeat once more on the carpet. The teacher turns on card upside down. That is the danger card.

If the danger card turns up you must stand up and jump three times shouting the word before sitting down again.

First student sitting back down wins a point. First team sitting wins another.

Variations.

Change the danger card action.

Add different danger cards to the vocabulary set
