The bigger class carpet bingo game. |

|
Subject |
This should work for pretty much any vocabulary. Also suitable for simple sentence structures. Do you...? Can you…? Etc. |

|
Richard’s comments. |
Simply super flexible alternative if you have bigger
classes. |

|
Group size: |
Teams of up to four should be ok but you could have
multiple teams. I would suggest up to four teams of four. |

|
Game set up. |
Divide the students into teams. Place the vocabulary cards in a circle (face up). Each team has coloured tokens. (About 75% of the
total cards) In my example six out of eight. |
|
Playing rules. |
The
teacher uses a second set of ‘calling cards’ to identify the target vocabulary. On
identifying the vocabulary. (Complete structures if required.) The teams
matching with the prompt cards remove the token. First team to remove all
their tokens wins. (For
positive and negative responses, I have the students reply positively if they
have the target word and negatively if they do not.) |
|
Variations. |
I can foresee many more variations. Look out for another
coming soon. |
