The caterpillar race game. |
Subject |
This will work for almost any vocabulary, |
Richard’s comments. |
This should be a good game for learning vocabulary.
It is highly productive with a good amount of repetition. (Just watch out for any health and safety issues
that may arise with students running around.) |
Group size: |
Teams of about four or five would be ideal. |
Team teaching game? |
This game would be better with one teacher per team. |
Materials |
Focus cards. (You might want to pad the number of
cards out with other vocabulary. Ideally you need two sets. (one per team) If you only have one set of vocabulary cards, try my
‘push, push’ version in the variations. |
Game set up. |
Divide the vocabulary between the two teams. Lay the cards down in a row face up and touching. |
I think games are a great way to support your English lessons. This is a store of the games I use in my lessons. Hopefully You can find something useful for you too.
