‘apples’ cut out cards with paperclips at the ‘core’ (I have about 40. It allows the students to race to find a target object.) I have placed plastic sleeves behind the apples to allow any vocabulary to be slotted in. ‘Bucket’, if your creative juices are flowing. ‘Danger’ cards If required. For Halloween I will use candy and Halloween Monsters for a danger card version and just Halloween Characters for the find a specific target (lucky dip) version. |

|
|
Game
set up. |
Drill
your vocabulary before sitting down and as you place the apples down. Place
the ‘apples’ in a ‘bucket’ at the far end of the classroom Select
your teams. Choose the target object if you are playing the
lucky dip version. |
|
Playing
rules. |
Lucky dip relay version. One
player from each team catches a fish in turn. Identify
the object on the back. The
first player to find the target object or get the danger card wins/loses a
point. |
|
|
|
|
Variations. |
Free
for all. First
to find the target object gets a point for their team. Reset,
change the target object and repeat. Add different points to different ‘targets’ |
